The ocean covers more than 70% of our planet and contains 97% of the Earth’s water. It regulates our climate, produces more than half of the oxygen we breathe, and absorbs carbon dioxide to help balance global temperatures.
It is also home to millions of species—many of which we haven’t even discovered yet. Coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass meadows, and open ocean habitats support a wide range of life, from the tiniest plankton to the largest whales.
For coastal communities like ours in Nusa Ceningan, Bali, the ocean provides livelihoods, food, transportation, and recreation. It is a vital part of our culture and our economy.
But this life-giving ecosystem is in danger.

Every year, we see the impact right here in the Nusa Penida Marine Protected Area. Corals are bleaching. Sea turtles are struggling to nest. Plastic debris washes up on our shores. And yet, there is still hope.

- Mangrove Reforestation and Seagrass Monitoring
Mangroves and seagrass beds are essential coastal ecosystems. They protect shorelines, store carbon, and provide nursery grounds for marine life. Join our land-based and snorkeling programs to help monitor, plant, and protect these vital habitats.
- Zero to Hero Divemaster Program with Conservation Focus
Want to make a career in diving and conservation? Our 3-month professional training program includes five PADI specialties, marine biology workshops, and over 150 dives—all with a strong emphasis on environmental responsibility.
Education and Community Outreach
We believe that real change starts with education. That’s why Ceningan Divers runs regular workshops for local students and visitors. We distribute free educational materials to schools and organize beach and reef clean-ups with our staff and guests.
