Tsabita

TSABITA

Divemaster Trainee / Bachelor of Marine Science and Technology

Biography

Tsabita is a Marine Science and Technology graduate from IPB University in Bogor with a strong interest in chemical oceanography. Her early experience in marine science began in laboratories, analyzing seawater samples and studying the biogeochemical processes that shape ocean ecosystems. This work sparked her curiosity about how ocean chemistry influences marine life and the health of marine environments.

Her perspective expanded through the OceanX Young Explorer Program, where she connected with scientists, engineers, filmmakers, and conservationists working together to protect the ocean. The experience highlighted that marine conservation goes beyond research, it also involves collaboration, communication, and helping people build a deeper connection with the ocean.

Currently training as a Divemaster with Ceningan Divers, Tsabita is gaining hands-on experience with marine ecosystems in the field. Being underwater allows her to connect the scientific concepts she once studied in the lab with the living environments she now encounters directly.

Through diving, exploration, and continued learning, Tsabita hopes to share the ocean with others in ways that inspire curiosity, appreciation, and a greater understanding of why it is worth protecting.
