Bianca Mairs

Passion for safety + love for fun + drive to inspire = Sammy underwater.
She likes to say that diving is her kind of meditation. Underwater, everything slows down and she feels truly connected to the ocean and its marine life. Sharing that experience with others is what inspired her to become a dive instructor.

She is originally from the Netherlands, and her diving journey has taken her to Taiwan, the Philippines, Japan, Australia and Indonesia. Exploring different underwater environments and marine life across these regions has shaped her experience.

Sammy loves guiding students through their own underwater discoveries: helping them build confidence, stay calm, and experience the magic of breathing underwater. Watching people fall in love with the ocean is one of the most rewarding parts of her job.

Working at Ceningan Divers is about more than just teaching diving. It’s also about learning, sharing knowledge, and actively contributing to marine conservation. Being part of a dive center committed to protecting the ocean inspires her to keep growing as a diver, instructor, and ocean advocate while encouraging others to do the same.
